Hein Wagner, blind adventurer and motivational speaker hosted a Dinner in the Dark at the recent Carrick Annual Sales Conference.
His motto: “Anything you believe is not possible, is actually possible; you just have to change the way you look at things. If you do that, the things you look at will change.”
Hein is committed to the upliftment of the visually impaired community and as such founded Visiontree which is a 100% disability owned enterprise with the purpose to create direct employment opportunities for blind people. Currently Visiontree employ 20 blind people on a part-time/contract basis to work on special events such as dinner in the dark to create awareness of blindness as well as the unimaginable abilities of the blind. All the staff are disabled and from previously disadvantaged communities. The final dinner at the Carrick Conference was spectacular and a wakeup call to all who attended, of the importance of considering the wider aspects of each person’s endeavors and responsibility to ensure that we positively impact those less fortunate than ourselves.
All guests pledged a donation to Hein and his team to say Thank you for the incredible experience, and to further support the amazing work that Visiontree is driving in this sector.
We are very proud of Carrick Wealth and their team for their generous donation to Visiontree and to their ongoing commitment to social upliftment in South Africa.
