Signature of Hope Trust Testimonials

Dear Antony & Natalie

On behalf of the Union of Jewish Women – Simcha  Group we would like to extend our sincere thanks to Carrick Wealth and Signature of Hope for the generous donation ofR72,000 to Noluntu Soup Kitchen, fondly know as Ria’s Kitchen.

Your generous donation will have a significant impact to continue to help sustain Ria’s Kitchen and  will guarantee that Ria can continue to do what she believes to be her true work whilst improving the children’s lives. Ria gives so much to her community not only in the way of a feeding scheme but as well as providing them with some education.

We cannot express our gratitude sufficiently; suffice it to say that your generosity will have a significant impact on a number of young lives.

Gratefully yours

Dear Signature of Hope Trust

The Volunteer Wildfire Services (VWS) would like to thank Signature of Hope Trust for all the support we received during the Cape Fires in March 2015. The Cape Town and Boland communities and businesses were so supportive of not only the VWS but all the organisations involved during the major fires in the South Peninsula and Jonkershoek.

The 2014/2015 fire season has been an extremely busy and emotional one for the VWS and we have achieved some remarkable milestones. During the first two weeks of March 2015, our volunteers completed more than 5000 fire-fighting hours over the intense 14 day period. This included our members fighting the fires, assisting in the Planning and Control offices and assisting in various other support roles. To put things into perspective in our 2013/2014 fire-season we completed around 2000 fire-fighting hours in total.

The VWS is a 100% volunteer organisation with a 160 strong membership across our three bases in Newlands, South Peninsula and Jonkershoek in Stellenbosch. Since the beginning of November 2014 we have assisted
Table Mountain National Parks and Cape Nature in fighting around 50 fires in the Cape Peninsula and Stellenbosch areas.

This monumental effort comes at a cost, not only in monetary terms but in the time that our dedicated volunteers are away from their families and their full time employment. To receive your R 25000.00 donation during one of our busiest seasons has been an enormous relief to our organisation and for that we cannot thank you enough.

Many thanks and kind regards,

The Volunteer Wildfire Services (VWS)

On behalf of the Hillsong Africa Foundation, I would like to thank you and the Signature of Hope Trust for your generous donation of blankets to the Hillsong Africa Foundation. The blankets have gone toward people within our community that are in need of warmth this winter. We know it will add value to their lives and be a comfort for those who need it most.

The goal of the Hillsong African Foundation is to continue to make a sustainable difference in people's lives. With the help of donations from supporters such as yourself we will continue to make progress in doing so.

Dear Signature of Hope Trust

On behalf of the board and management team of Stop Hunger Now Southern Africa, I take this opportunity of offering our heartfelt thanks for your participation in our Million Meal Challenge Meal Packaging Activity. It gives me great pleasure to advise you all that not only did we meet the Challenge but exceeding the targeted Million Meals by 202,040 meals. What a wonderful achievement for South Africa and for our children.

Without your support, we would have been very challenged in meeting this target and I want to issue a personal THANK YOU on behalf of myself and the board of Stop Hunger Now Southern Africa.

Thank you for considering us worthy partners and for realising our ambition of a minimum million meals to be packed on the day.

Yours sincerely

Dear Jonathan,

The purpose of this writing is to express our gratitude for all the amazing gestures you have extended towards the upliftment and expansion of our organization as a brand. You have truly stepped in at the point of our need. We would not be here, today, if we did not have you on board. Most of our successes can be directly ascribed to your generosity.

Please accept our heartfelt gratitude for everything. We are forever in your debt. Improving the quality of the lives of our children is our main priority and you play a direct role in us achieving our objective.

Our passion and dedication is fueled by individuals like you.

We were truly blessed with the wonderful donation of school bags and driMacs.

Kindly inform me the amount spent , in order for me to issue a Section 18a Certificate.

We thank you.

Doulos Care Child & Youth Care Centre

The Salesian Institute Youth Projects (S.I.Y.P.) reach out to society’s most marginalised children and youth. The projects work with street children and youth, and with vulnerable children and youth from impoverished communities. Education and skills training are the priority areas, with projects helping youth to reintegrate back into society. Older youth are assisted with job placements and younger children are assisted to return to mainstream education. Accommodation is provided to youth who require it while they are attending skills training courses. Training varies from more advanced training to training for those youth with little or no education, and Life Skills are an integral part of all the programmes. Following the ethos of the Salesian founder, St. Don Bosco, S.I.Y.P. staff ensure that all children and youth are treated with love, kindness and respect.

The following projects are currently run by SIYP:
Learn to Live School of Skills, Youth Employment Skills, Don Bosco Hostel, 16+ Outreach and Development, Waves of Change

After receiving your generous donation of blankets we at SIYP decided to start a new “Pay it Forward” Campaign.

Even though our learners from Learn to Live come from a very poor background and are mostly dependant on donations when it comes to school clothes, transport money and books and stationery, we are of the opinion that it is important for them to learn the importance of giving.

For our Mandela Day Campaign, we have decided to visit 2 hospitals to donate these blankets to the patients in the pedatric and oncology wards. Please find attached pictures taken during our visit.

We thank you for your kindness and care for our youth at risk in Cape Town. Helping these youngsters to change their lives and to improve their situation makes us all “Proudly South African”.

We strive to allow our youth to become active and responsible South African citizens. It is friends like you that allow the Salesian Institute Youth Projects to continue this important work, to improve the lives of so many that desperately need it.

We thank you!

Yours sincerely

Dear Carrick Management and Staff

On behalf of the management board, staff and children of Home of Hope we would like to sincerely thank you for the clothing, uniforms and the braai for Christmas. We are truly appreciative of the kindness and generosity you have shown us. Home of Hope would not be in existence if it were not for the support of people like you and for that we remain indebted with gratitude.

We thank you for partnering with us, for helping us make a lasting positive difference in the lives of children that
have been abused, abandoned and neglected and those who suffer from Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) and HIV.

It is our belief that if children live with security they learn to have faith. If children live with approval they learn to
have confidence and to like themselves. If children live with acceptance and friendship they learn to find love in the world.

At Home of Hope we are constantly trying to create and reinforce this positive environment so that our children can learn these invaluable lessons and experience the love they so desperately deserve.

Thank you for reaching out and sharing your love with our children.
